LCHS students - When you are absent from school bring your written verification/doctor’s note, etc. to the front office. You are allowed ONLY five parent notes per school year. Attendance impacts success.
Students-Please remember you have five school days to submit written verification of an unexcused absence to the front office. After that, a truancy letter will be sent home at three unexcused days or six unexcused tardiness events. The school will contact a parent/guardian by phone at four unexcused days. At six unexcused days school officials will make a home visit prior to the Board of Education filing Truancy charges when a student has nine unexcused absences from school. It's your responsibility!
Congratulations to senior Kennedy Campbell and freshman Logan Porter as they are the Attendance for Academic Success contest winners for the month of November. Each was awarded an AS medallion and a $10.00 gift card. All LCHS students qualify to win by having no unexcused absences on their attendance report, passing G.P.A.'s, and no disciplinary infractions during the specific time frame. The contest continues. Be At School/On Time/Ready to work to win! The Attendance for Academic Success is sponsored by our Logan County Youth Services Center.
