Welcome to my 5th grade classroom!! I am beyond excited to share this adventure with you and your child. I am a firm believer that communication and parental involvement is a huge factor in student's success! Please feel free to contact me at school, on my cell, or by email with any questions and/or concerns. Also be sure to join our 5th grade remind 101 to stay up to date on what we are doing in the classroom! I am dedicated to helping your child find their strengths, and I strive to bring out the best of each child in my classroom.
This will be my sixth year as an elementary school teacher at Auburn, and my third year teaching 5th grade. I graduated from Western Kentucky University in May 2012. I have a Master's degree from the University of Cumberlands as a Literacy Specialist. I am in the process of continuing my education in administration at Western Kentucky University. When I am not at school I enjoy relaxing, exercising, spending time with my family and friends, and watching movies!
Students will be switching classes this year. I will be the 5th grade math teacher for all students, and I will also be teaching science to my homeroom. Please make sure to check your child's agenda each night. This will help you stay informed on what we are doing every day :) I look forward to a great year!
