Greetings!
My name is Jamie Metcalfe, and I am a native to Logan County. Both of my parents are retired teachers from the Logan County School district, so early on I was instilled with a love for education. I am very proud to be a teacher!

After graduating from Russellville High School, I attended the University of Kentucky where I received a bachelor's of science degree in biotechnology. We definitely bleed blue in my house, but I have been known to root for other teams from Kentucky on special occasions!

I next received my master's of arts in teaching degree from the University of the Cumberlands. I also completed my doctorate in education from this same university. I absolutely love children, and I decided that I wanted to teach students full time. Fortunately, I was allowed to work as a special education aide for two years while I obtained my master's degree, and this will now be my ninth year working as a full-time teacher.
I have three girls. My oldest will be a freshman at Murray State University. My two younger daughters will be a junior and a sophomore in high school. I love to encourage them in sporting events and academia as well. I am proud to serve this community and look forward to working with parents/guardians throughout the year. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions!
