I was born and raised in Logan County. I graduated from Logan County High School in 1986. I attended Western Kentucky University and received a degree in Elementary Education, a Masters and Rank 1 in Elementary Counseling. I began teaching at Auburn Elementary in 1997. I taught at Auburn for 18 years. I began teaching Kindergarten at Chandlers in 2015. This school year begins my 24th year teaching.
I currently live in Auburn on our family farm with my husband Bryan. We have two children: a daughter Robyn Smotherman, who teaches 5th Grade at Chandlers and a son Wesley Estes who teaches Agriculture at Logan County High School. We also have a granddaughter.
